Dolly is a very stocky grade quarter type pony mare around 14 to 16 yrs old per 2 vets. Dappled bay. Just under 14 hands. Around 1000lbs. Big feet and bone. More pictures and video on request. Forward and sassy with a lot of go. She was jumped by her previous owner and was said to clear 39" with no hesitation. Blue ribbon earner. Would be great next step horse for a young teen rider with some experience. We have owned her 4 years but she has been mostly a pasture pet as the granddaughter she was purchased for stopped riding shortly after her purchase. Western only with us. Would benefit from a month refresh as she has sat for some time. I can still pull her from pasture however and ride anytime. Good ground manners. Trailers. Ties. Bathes. Stands well for shoer. Almost nothing spooks this mare. Will carry a flag. Very sensitive to leg pressure. Does not quite understand side step. Backs fine. Arena or trail no problem. Not sour to buddies or barn. Dolly has ridden in drill team practice and been taken to the lake, over bridges, through water, etc. Nice little pony. Great feet. Gets fat on air! Came to us displaying minor head shaking first summer but she also had a bad eye infection and sinus infection. Symptom free on supplied antihistamine powder that she takes without trouble May to July. Otherwise, sound, healthy and maintenance free. Possible one year lease with strong contract.
