For consideration, "Susannah" - 2019 Green Mountain mare. She's a giant at 16.2 hh. Located in Henderson, TX. Negotiable to the right home. This girl enjoys liberty work. She'd also make a nice recip- heaven knows she has room to spare. I'll list her Skills, Likes, and Dislikes, below. PM for more info and video. Skills: - Grooming, Farrier, Tying, Clipping - Liberty work/Tricks/R+: . - "Manners" (nose away from human before any food reward) . - Smile . - Hug . - Turn Around (both directions) . - Back up . - Lifts each leg on cue . - Turn on Haunches/Forehand, Sidepass (sometimes rusty but does well with reminder) . - Bow . - Lay Down . - "Place" (stand at Mounting Block or designated area) . - We were working toward Spanish Walk and Sit - In-Hand Dressage (Shoulder-in, Renvers, Travers, stand square, collect & "stretch") - Riding*... . - Fine to saddle and mount, or ride bareback . - Needs experienced hand- more on this below* --- Likes: - Liberty work - Hanging out with humans - Cookies (of course) - Tricks - Grooming - In-Hand Dressage --- Dislikes: - Lunging (as in understands exactly what is wanted but generally refuses to do it. I've never met another one like her.) - Working: see Riding* - Ponying (will do it, but needs an experienced hand) Reason for Sale: I've come to the conclusion that with my current schedule and personal bandwidth, she's just not the horse for me. I've had her since she was a yearling, and we primarily worked on ground work until about last year. She was growing so much so quickly, her bones needed time to settle. She's been lightly saddle started since she was a 3 yo. She has zero interest in having to work under saddle. Or on the lunge. I can explain better over PM. She's more than happy to do liberty work and be a beautiful pasture ornament. She needs either an experienced hand with plenty of time on their hands and enough energy to share with her if she's to be a saddle horse, or preferably someone who also loves purely connecting on the ground and has experience with big, confident horses. She's also the size of a small house and would be a good addition to someone's breeding program as a recipient mare. I think she'd excel at standing around having children. * - Riding: see explanation above. She's usually fine to get going at a walk, but trot to her is too much effort. Most days she's happier to do lateral work than to move any more quickly. Please feel free to PM me for more information. I'm happy to disclose any other details as well as give more information on her quirks in the saddle. I strongly feel she'd continue to be great in a liberty program, or for someone to use as a recipient. She is very much o.b.o.
