Sue is a Project ready for you to put your time and energy into. She is young and athletic. Sue was born and bred in Oklahoma on the track, to parents who both won money on the track. She never raced and was sold off the track by the time she was two. We bought Sue in March of 2023. We were told a lot of things about Sue when we bought her and after a few months of owning Sue we quickly learned that we were not given her full history. Sue has incredible ground manners, she is always kind and respectful. Sue stands for the ferrier, currently barefoot, but she has been shod before and she does wonderful for vet appointments. She trailers well and is an easy keeper, she does well in a stall, she is fine if left alone or in a herd. Sue loves babies and is the best auntie/baby sitter! We currently have a young foster colt and she has been the best Auntie to him. Sue has had six months of professional training from November of 2023-2024. Through that training time it became very clear that Sue would not be the horse that we bought her to be. We bought Sue with the intent that she would partner with our daughter and with her history and prior handling/training before we owned her, it became evident that Sue needs a rider who is more advanced and with a greater ability to work with her than our daughter. For serious inquiries I am happy to go into more detail as to Sue's history, her training, and share videos. The best home for Sue would be one where she has a competent rider who will give her time, training, consistency, more time, and a job. She is a very beautiful and athletic mover. When she has a rider who can anticipate her needs she will grow in confidence and ability. But without that she falls into old habits, fears, and insecurities.
