Meet Ardie! Ardie is a 9-year-old registered Paint gelding with a solid foundation and a calm, willing personality. He was originally trained by his current owner for a client who purchased him as a 3-year-old colt. She later sold him due to a move, and he’s now looking for a new home simply because he’s not being used to his full potential. Standing at 16 hands, Ardie is well-built and has a quiet, mellow temperament that makes him a joy to ride. He’s had 90 days of professional training in horsemanship and trail work, followed by another 90 days focused on softness, collection, and roping. **Trail riding is where Ardie really shines.** He’s confident going through water, crossing bridges, opening gates, and tackling just about any obstacle you put in front of him. He’s been on countless trail rides over the years and is just as comfortable riding out alone as he is in a group. Even if other horses trot off and leave him behind, Ardie stays calm and steady. On one memorable ride, he even stepped up to help break up a dog fight—cool, collected, and without hesitation. Ardie is also great around cattle and has been started in roping. He’s been headed on behind a roping dummy and has worked live cattle at a practice facility. With some finishing, he has the potential to make a solid rope horse for someone willing to continue his training. He’s safe for confident riders of various ages and experience levels—he’s been ridden by people as young as 14 and as old as 70, both on trails and in lessons. Even after time off (up to six months), he comes back just as steady as when he was put away. He’s even been ridden bridleless in a clinic, guided entirely with leg cues. Ardie is easy to handle on the ground, too. He’s good with his feet, saddles and bits up easily, stands tied at the trailer or hitching post, and loads without a fuss. His feet and worming are current and up to date. Offered at \$12,000 OBO. If you’re interested or have questions, feel free to call or text Bailey Stevenson (I’m selling Ardie on behalf of his owner). I’d be happy to set up a time for you to come meet him! 541-seven seven one-6208 Want to see more of Ardie?
