Champ is a German Sport Horse. He was born and raised in Germany. Champ was brought to San Diego Ca late 2019, then to Sanford Florida where I currently live mid 2020. I went to couple of shows with him. Champ never ever refused any Jump until once in Aug of 2021 he still kept me on his back. The next day, I found he has been infected by EPM. I took him to the hospital and started the treatment. For the next two years there were some stumbling once in a while. He has been fairly good and healthy horse. I am 70-year-old rider, and Champ still is a capable horse. I do not want to jump any more. I have been keeping Champ with another horse that I brought from San Diego in a pasture. He is extremely people friendly and would keep the rider on his back. If you ask what is the major issues with Champ ; 1- He does not like people touching his ears, you either have to be a tall rider to put the bridle on his head or keep his head at a lower cross tie position. There are other tricks that I can teach the new owner for putting the bridle. once he has the bridle there is no other issue. 2- He may get a little nervous in the practice ring if there are too many horses getting ready for the show (this is based on few years ago). I have decided not to get any money for him, I just want a good home for him, he is so sweet. You can take Champ to try and if you do not like him, I will take him back for the 1st 30 days, beyond 30 days, I will still take him back as long as he is not injured or did not get sick while he was with you.
