Allie is a 2016 17.3hh OTTB mare, JC registered as Dynamite Daughters (Alternation/El Prado/Dynaformer). Allie retired sound from a successful racing career at four years old without any history of injury or illness. She was turned out to group pasture for a period of let-down and then lightly restarted in dressage from the ground up. She has maintained an eager, willing, and professional demeanor and has not developed any vices. Allie has proven herself to be quite a special mare and is uncomplicated in every way. She is trusting, secure, and as sensible as they come, riding as if she had been my main mount for years on our first ride after she retired from racing - an unwavering & steadfast type who meets the rider where they're at. I trusted her immediately. She has been reliable and consistent between different riders, offering a natural balance and a feeling of security in the saddle. Allie is incredibly forgiving, and a surprisingly easy keeper. She has a wonderfully laid-back demeanor true to her El Prado bloodlines, smooth gaits that demonstrate regularity and elasticity, and uphill conformation that make her a great candidate for the mare books of several warmblood registries. Her legs are solid, having had no prior injuries during her racing days or after, and she takes up a rider's longer leg perfectly. Due to no fault of her own, she has not been ridden consistently for a few years. However, her gaits are easy to sit, and she's light & easy in the bridle. She accepts and stays in front of the leg, and was schooling First Level with ease when in consistent work. She has excellent ground manners, stands quietly for the vet & farrier, rides the same alone and in a group, trailer loads perfectly, etc. It'll be easy to continue her training. Allie is currently barefoot but would benefit from shoes if ridden regularly. Due to life circumstances, I cannot give her the time and attention she deserves. She's an in-your-pocket type of girl and would love to be the center of someone's world. She may also make an exceptional addition to a quality breeding program and would score well at an inspection. Currently, she is available near Thief River Falls, MN, and while that is quite a drive for many, rest assured, she is worth it.
