From a Champion Trail Barn in Woodside, California, On A Lark Farm trains their horses to be calm, confident, cooperative and responsive champions in Trail Trials and Obstacle Challenge. As a result of the exposure such competitive training demands, our horses are quiet, safe partners for anyone privileged to own one.
These are our personal horses raised with professional training techniques and attitude. Arya (aka Envy) is the most exceptional horse in our long life with horses - she is kind, sweet, gentle, loves being with people, and excels at all she is asked to do - she's bred from the best to be the best. Although a relatively new registered breed, the Gypsy Vanner horse has rocketed to popularity due to its romantically dramatic looks, its dependable nature, its training talents, all the while being an easy-keeper. Arya embodies all these desirable traits.

In her first year of competition, she became California State Reserve Champion plus Regional Champion in Trail Trials – a challenging sport that tests horse and rider in all the many technical tasks and talents necessary for trail riding, ranch work, horse camping and search and rescue. Trail trial training produces a confident, well-rounded mount in the arena as well as out on the challenging trails and busy roads of today’s riding grounds.
In addition to being 2022 State Reserve Champion, she is 2022 Regional Champion and 2023 Regional Reserve Champion – a consistent winner from her very first competitions!
2024 saw her first competitions in Obstacle Challenge ending the year as Regional Champion and placing Third in California State Championship.
2025 brought highest wins - State Champion in her division, plus 2025 Supreme Champion over all -as well as Regional Champion in Trail Trials.
Beautiful inside and out, Arya is a perfect family horse since her 15hh size and quiet nature allow for most any rider to enjoy her. Additionally, with her Champion record and gold-star Pedigree she will add value to foals if you’d like to breed her.
Trained with love, language and leadership in Natural Horsemanship Arya goes Western or English, carries the bit quietly, also rides bitless and in just a halter. Spurs, whips, harsh bits or tack have never been used on her. Arya is the horse of a lifetime for one lucky owner!
