Xena is a 13 year old 15.2 hand 1/4 draft cross Gaited mare. Trail riding and wagon trains are this mare’s specialty she’s smooth as butter to ride and is built wide and solid. Xena has big hooves and extremely tough hooves. Xena can live barefoot but has also has had shoes all the way around. Being stalled or pastured are no problem she has excellent manners. Xena has been pastured alone and also in a mixed herd she is not picky and does not get attached to others. We have kept her in one strand nylon wire and she respects all fencing no matter how big or small. Xena is very easy to catch, cross ties, loads and unloads great. We love swimming this girl water is her favorite she will cross tiny streams, deep rivers and will even swim in the pond. Riding is fun with Xena she has a very smooth gait and can keep up with the best of them but will back down and stay with quarter horses depending on the group we are riding with. Put this girl in the arena and do some showing or take her on your next trail riding adventure. Xena has clean legs, she is sound and solid. Required NO maintenance and she’s an easy keeper! This girl is also an excellent broodmare and mother if that’s something that interests a potential new owner.
