Samson is a 16 plus hand, 11 year old OTTB gelding. He's a super sweet, gentle guy looking for his new person. He loves to play with his herd mates but runs at the bottom of the pack. He's been here at Lauman Training for the last 4 months to get a refresher and to start him towards neck reining. He has learned collection and is doing really well with his shoulder control and is starting to respond well to neck reining. He has a relaxed way about him and can be ridden right out without needing to lunge, even if he has a few days off. His walk and trot is easy and relaxed on a loose rein and he doesn't crowd the lead horse at all. He will lead and goes out alone without issue. Sam is also totally happy to follow along. He has a beautiful lope and knows his leads but he can get a bit pushy and bouncy still but is easily controllable. He has a nice stop and back, side passes well and will stand beautifully at the mounting block to mount and dismount. Samson would make a great trail horse, 4-H or OHSET project, he'd be beautiful in dressage and english! He has also been patterened on barrels sometime in his past and handles the pattern well. He is best suited for a confident rider, he has no buck or rear. He is a bit over in the knee so not recommended for jumping. You really won't find a calmer, kinder, or sweeter thoroughbred out there! https://youtu.be/jBmY0fhQ4UU
