Chevy is a 19yr old gelded pony size mule who stands approximately 12.3hh and is around 650lbs. He is broke to ride and drive but hasn't done much the past couple years and will need atleast an intermediate rider to bring him back into work. Prior to that my kids were riding him all over the property and he was trail ridden both alone and in a group by small adults. He never was one to buck/rear and is a rather lazy little dude, I doubt it will take much to get him going again. He'd make a great trail mount for a handy youth/petite adult or get him driving again. He is good for the farrier and deworming but doesn't like shots. Bottom of the pecking order in my herd of five. Loaded easy in the past on both a straight and slant but haven't had him on a trailer in a while. He gets nervous about people making quick movements around him on the ground, acts as though somebody handled him roughly in his past, for this reason he would not be a good candidate for a lesson program as it'd be too chaotic of an atmosphere for him. Would do best with just a normal private owner not a big barn. He is not good with small livestock or pets, which is why he's for sale, goes after my goats. He's okay with my well mannered Aussie but will not tolerate my less horse savvy dogs running under his feet (who can blame him). Great with other equines or would probably be fine with cattle, animals the same size or larger than him. If he doesn't sell soon we'll plan to start making time to get him riding again. Price will increase as we get him back to the kid safe mount he once was. Feel free to email with any questions, will answer 100% honestly. Goal is to find him a proper fit and hopefully a more long term home. $1200 Firm Cash Only Not interested in any trades at this time.
