Big Guy is friendly, sweet and big hearted. Gets along well with others. Loads, stands tied, hauls well. Has been shown and overnighted at loud multi-day barrel shows with no complications. Likes to move out smoothly; very nice big stride and big motor. Is not hot but does like forward motion and having a job. Has been ridden western but has buttons and potential to excel at the English discipline. Moves off leg/ leg yields well, counter arcs, moves in shoulder and hips when asked, picks up leads, stops on seat + whoa, backs. Prefers to be ridden with some contact rather than a free rein, but can ride with a loose rein when preferred. Has been trail ridden and likes going out for exercise jogs around the woods/fields. Will whoa and stand but is a forward moving horse. Grandson of Tres Seis on the bottom side. Knows the barrel and pole pattern. Has ran 3D times at smaller shows and 4-5D at large ones. Could run faster with more hauling, just needs consistency. Was shown several times by an experienced youth learning to run barrels and poles & they did great together. Not for a beginner or novice, but could do well with an advanced youth. Will only go top speed if asked. Seems to enjoy running but we have focused on a correct pattern rather than speed up to now. Stands for farrier, currently barefoot but has had front shoes when hauling a lot. Current Coggins, UTD on vaccines, had teeth done 7/10/25. May need some maintenance if hauling a lot and will discuss with serious buyers. Selling due to no fault of his own, Price reduced from original ad bc I’d like to have time for our 7 other horses + I also have a time consuming career at UofM and he's to talented to let him just sit. He could be your/someone’s heart horse!
