Oliver Twist is an elegant grade gelding rescued from the Kalona slaughter auction in 2021. We believe him to be five years old based on his teeth. He was in starvation condition when we picked him up and he has blossomed into a beautiful horse with lovely floating gaits. He was started under saddle by a teen rider two years ago, and is doing really well. With his gaits and elegant neck he would make a lovely hunter or dressage mount.

Due to the rough start he had in life, he requires patient handling. He loves his people but needs some time to warm up to someone new. He is nervous for the farrier but stands patiently when we pick his feet. He trailers nicely but needs a little patience in loading. He ties and cross ties and stands for baths. He really wants to be a good boy but is insecure and needs a lot of reassurance. He returns all the love you give him and is a big snuggle bug.
