Sybrens Shining Spark aka “Finnigan” is a 2024 Friesian Quarter Horse gelding. He is registered with both the Friesian Sport Horse Association and Friesian Sport Horse Registry. Finnigan stands approximately 15.1 hh and just keeps growing! Predicting him to mature 16 plus hh! Sire was a black Friesian 17hh his dam was cow bred palomino mare all of 15.3 hh. He has great feet and good bone! He will be a big, fluid, and fancy mover! Finnigan has a fun personality he is friendly but respectful. With his age I have only done ground work. He has worn the pack saddle maybe 4 times. Fully rigged breast collar and britchen. I’ve put the soft sided panniers (empty) on him as well to let them flop around. He takes everything in stride and does not regress if he sits. I’ve ponied him in the pasture and arena as well as out in the hills through the sage brush, over logs, through puddles of water all with a dog trotting along side or behind! He took everything in stride! We went to a fun trail class show at a local indoor arena. I ponied him and led him around the obstacles! We competed in the in hand class. He did great! Crossing bridges and going over the log obstacles. He has a great mind. It will not break my heart if he sticks around for a while. He is fun to have around. Alas I am offering him for sale.
