Kizzie has clean tight legs, no injuries or vices. She is an easy keeper, barefoot and sound! Kizzie can be turned out alone or in a group. She is currently out in a small group of mares. She does get along with anyone she is out with. Kizzie stands on crossties for bathing, grooming, clipping, vet and farrier.
Kizzie is an easy snaffle ride, currently being ridden and shown in a loose ring snaffle. She is the kind of horse that will maintain whatever pace you set. No buck, rear or bolt. Kizzie hacks on/off property alone or in a group. I currently do not have an arena on my property, so she is ridden off property frequently throughout the week. When she isn’t being trailered off property, I ride her in one of my grass fields or down the road. Kizzie loads and trailers great, and ties to the side of my trailer. Kizzie is the same ride whether she is in 5-6 days of work or a couple times a week.
Kizzie has been restarted WTC and over fences. Kizzie went to her first show of 2025 on July 6th. She did Dressage intro A and Combined Training Intro and over a small 2ft course. She scored a 61% for her intro A test and a 40 for her CT test. She was a little tense and looky, but very response to my aids. With more time and experience, this girl will go far!
9/1/25- Kizzie went to her first Cross Country schooling, and she was FANTASTIC. No, I’m not just saying that (okay maybe so). She did the up and down BN banks and ditch without hesitation, I schooled her over all the starter level fences, and was going through the water complex without hesitation at the end of our ride. I always start w/walking through the water in the beginning of my ride to introduce it, she was a looky at the water for her first time ever going through water, but at the end she was cantering through it without hesitation. She is the kind of horse that if you set the pace and she will maintain it.
Kizzie has been treated for GI-ulcers using omeprazole/ranitidine combo. Kizzie did have 37 starts and ended up retiring with small bone chips. Her trainer did get the chips removed arthroscopically at Mid-Atlantic in July of 2024. I rehabbed her properly and then she got some downtime post track and surgery. I do have her post surgery radiographs.
Kizzie has no career limitations and can go in any direction, in any ring or discipline!
