On the hunt for that perfect all around “step up”? Meet Fergie, who doesnt need the step up. 10 yo, 43”, bay, fancy fancy broke, pony mare with none of the typical pony annoyances. No vices, no bad habits. Stops on a dime, headsets, neckreins, moves off leg pressure, rides bridleless (i mean it when i say shes no typical pony), will run the barrels and then come back and do a nice little reining pattern. Or if english is your style- she does that too! Lightly started over fences. She can ride out alone in a pasture/ trail ride with no screaming or funny business and doesnt get buddy sour. Used in varying country to gather cattle in oklahoma and new mexico. Been ranch roped on, sorts, and tracks calves. She lays down on command, “skijors”, pulls sleds, gets gates, goes through water, ponies off of 4wheelers…motorcycles, horses whatever u name it. Wherever you’re going- she’s just happy to be there. Shes extremely willing, loves to work, she comes right up to you in the pasture (no crying children catching that rotten pony), hauls great, loads on any rig - big or small- brand new or floor boards dragging the ground. Been hauled to barrel races, rodeos, etc. Stands tied all day, stands to be clipped, and will do just about anything with 0 fuss to earn her treats. Shes patient, and loving with a silly personality to boot. Shes gone the miles and I’ve put a lot of time into her. She stalls perfect- alone in the barn or with other horses- does all her business in one spot (for those who appreciate the rarity)🦄 safe but no a dead head. She will do what is asked, I wont recommend to a complete green rider, but one that is ready to start learning all the bells and whistles on a nicely trained pony before moving up. You will never find a pony at her size broke so fancy and capable of so much!

In absolutely no rush to get her moved, I will wait for that perfect fit. I really love having her around and I’ve gone back and forth on even selling her- in hopes she could be my kids pony one day. We all know how special that truly perfect pony is and how hard they are to come by. But that stage of life is much further down the road for me, so my loss is your gain.
