Grade welsh type mare, medium 12.3H Approximately 12/13yrs old. For lease 12months, considerations to renew as well. Preferably close to home! Most recently Honey is teaching an 8yr old beginner on the lunge line the up/down job! Prior to that she spent 18mos with a beginner family teaching them everything! Such a well versed pony! Our program has downsized and she’s looking for her next family! For a few years she was used for advanced beginner riders, in a moderate program. At that time in our program riders had to independently WTC in a group lesson in an arena. These riders are able to use a half halt to rebalance when their mount gets quick or nervous, can effectively add leg to encourage a lazy mount, can adequately give direction to a “goal” as such as poles or jumps and are ok with a little side eye spook now and then! If you’re comfortable with all of the above then Honey may be a great fit for you! Honey had some local show miles with confident kiddos too. She does best schooling around new environments and jumps with a strong and confident rider, once warmed up to a new environment she’s pretty typical as she is at home; Although, she tends to still call for her buddies. She has only schooled up to 2’ and xrail courses. She’s not a fancy Pony Finals type, but she does well enough at the local level! Has offered a change on occasion, but not leasing her with changes. Honey also hacks out in groups well, she prefers to follow and has shown she is safe out in the open in all 3 gaits, and crossing bridges/water/dogs/bikers etc. No vices. No history of bucking, bolting or rearing. Loads and travels easily. Great for vet and farrier! No health history to mention. She’s also a barefoot and easy keeper! UTD on everything. Video available I do not allow off-site trials.
