Meet Maverick — a 15-year-old gelding with decent groundwork, solid under-saddle training, and just enough spice to keep things interesting. Responsive, athletic, and forward, Maverick would thrive with a confident intermediate or advanced rider who enjoys a horse with personality and presence.
• Walk/trot/canter, leg yields, leads, stops, backs — all solid
• Trail savvy but alert, will lead or follow
• Loads in a trailer, ties (but your better make sure it’s secure), bathes, stands for farrier
At 14.2hh, he’s the perfect size for a smaller rider or teen with experience. Maverick has been there, done that, and still thinks he’s got something to prove. He’s a fun prospect with nice movement and a lot of potential, but he will benefit from further groundwork and miles under saddle to bring out the best in him. Best suited for a confident rider who enjoys the process of creating a true partnership.
