Shelby is a 10yo 13.2 Spanish Mustang pony. She is schooling First level dressage, small jumps, learning trails, has pulled a cart, ties, loads on the trailer and is easy going with other horses. She was adopted for my daughter as a jumping pony but unfortunately my daughter has grown a lot over the last year so we need to find her a new home. She had a lovely start by a very qualified cowboy who drove her as well. We have ridden her over small jumps, inside and outside as well as trails around the property. She went to her first event clinic in late July schooled starter and BN she was super! As far as riding she can get a bit quick in the trot and canter but doesn’t run away. If she’s had a month or more off she can be a little humpy when you first get on but if in semi consistent work that goes away. She isn’t spooky or over reactive, and is a very smart inquisitive mare. She works very hard when asked and has incredible stamina however she is just as happy going for a walk. On the ground she is sweet and well mannered. It does take her a few minutes to warm up to a new person cookies usually take care of that. She stands for the farrier, vet, will tie most anywhere. She is barefoot and has fantastic feet! Little Shelby lives out in a mixed herd with another pony, miniature horse, Shagya Arabian, Azteca and a Warmblood. She is generally middle of the pecking order, not mean at all put not a total pushover. She will call once or twice to her friends when you bring her in to ride but doesn’t scream incessantly. UTD on vaccines, teeth and farrier. Game for anything, she has seen cattle and worked around them. Our cowboy drove her in a single cart, she’s been in rural traffic. She isn’t spooky or over reactive. I believe this pony would easily be an excellent all around horse, eventer, fox hunter, games pony, dressage or jumper. She has quite a bit of talent and just needs her person.
