We are pleased to present Max, a 10-year-old, 16.2hh Registered Friesian Sport Horse gelding, offering an exceptional combination of elegance, athleticism, and versatility. A striking cross between Percheron and Friesian, Max brings the best of both breeds—substance, presence, and a highly trainable mind.
Max is currently schooling in the English disciplines and is demonstrating outstanding promise as a dressage, eventing, or show jumping prospect. He confidently works walk, trot, and canter under saddle and is in the early stages of fence training, having already cleared a 5-foot obstacle with scope and ease. He has naturally floaty, expressive movement and is light in the bridle, responsive to aids, and easy to collect.
Initially brought in for training to refine his response to leg pressure, Max now rides with balance, relaxation, and enthusiasm for his work. He continues to progress steadily in his flatwork and is developing a reliable, adjustable canter.
Max comes with a solid foundation in real-world riding environments. He has been used extensively as a mountain trail horse, is confident riding out alone or in company, and has participated in rodeo environments, showing steadiness under pressure.
On the ground, Max exhibits a gentle, puppy-dog personality. He is respectful, easy to handle, and enjoys human interaction. He stands quietly tied, loads and trailers easily, and is well-behaved for both the farrier and veterinarian.
