Meet "Ruger," your next all around gelding. Do you want a horse that you can show? One you can trail ride? Something that will ride one handed or two? One quiet enough that your family and friends can ride? Looking for a horse that can sit and come back to work the same guy? Have you been searching for a horse that turns out with others or does fine in a stall? If you answered yes to any of these questions, he is right here, waiting for you. Ruger has been owned by his current family for the past five years and has spent quite a bit of that time in a training program as his owner learned how to ride competitively. He has been shown as a ranch riding horse for a youth rider and will go one handed in a curb bit. He's shown locally at class A shows and has even traveled to the Scottsdale Arabian show. He does well in the rail classes, pattern classes, as well as the trail classes. He is a smooth, level mover that is not reactive or emotional in a show setting. He would also be an appropriate mount for low level dressage or western dressage or could locally show in the 4-H or pleasure arenas. Ruger also has quite a bit of trail time under his belt. He has done one endurance ride with his youth rider at Camp Far West for their LD, including camping. He has guided out trail rides of 10+ horses, helping to pony horses through the water and ride in different positions in the pack while his instructor coached students. With his background, he would be a great choice for someone that wanted a competitive trail mount as well. Ruger stands approximately 15hh and has a stout, sturdy build that will take up a leg with good proportions, legs and hooves. He does well barefoot or shod. Vet records and films on file. He has no vices and is not currently receiving any maintenance. Ruger would be a great option for a beginner rider with an instructor or a more experienced rider that doesn't want to fuss with a complicated horse. He would be an ideal option for someone that wants a safe horse as they enter the realm of competitive horse shows, competitive trail endeavors, or an individual that just wants a really nice horse to pleasure ride. His current owner has gotten years of experience thanks to this nice guy and is ready to move on to a drivers license and visions of college on the horizon and doesn't want to see this sweet guy sit at home in the pasture. Make him yours, he won't last long.
