For consideration: PQR Snowman's Flurry (Flurry) 2003 - Companion Horse/Pasture Princess Due to an accumulating number of personal health issues over the last 10 years (including a non-horse back injury), I am searching for a new home for Flurry. I no longer have the time/ability to give Flurry the attention she deserves. All I am looking for is a good home for her where she can get more attention than I can offer. I am not asking for a "rehoming fee" or anything similar. Your expense would just be the costs to transport her to her new home. I will arrange a health certificate if needed. She is located in central Illinois. Be prepared to do a video chat/tour to show the facilities you would intend to keep her at. I will do my best to provide a full description of her below. Flurry is a very sweet and gentle registered APHA horse. As she seems to be somewhat navicular on her forefeet, mostly her right front, I am offering her as a companion horse. I have not had her formally diagnosed as I have used glue on easy care shoes to manage it. As of last month, my farrier is confident she would be fine with light riding, however, I want to be up front about her condition. She is the type of horse that, if you are at least an intermediate rider, you can hop on and ride her after months or years, no issue, as long as you aren't expecting more than the basics (walk/trot/canter). I used her for trail riding before my health issues, however, she has been a pasture princess for the last 8-9 years. She has never offered to buck/bite. Now that she is older, she is having more trouble, likely due to mild arthritis (per vet). She has trouble standing for the farrier, but it seems to be due to some stiffness/arthritis in her hips and shoulders. She would benefit from having bute as a supplement a few days before the farrier comes, but due to my health issues and other responsibilities, I have not been able to make that happen. I have never had trouble trailering her, but I have just never let it be a problem. If you feed her, she will follow you almost anywhere. She is not currently on any supplements or medications.
