Chexi is a striking mare with exceptional athletic ability and a beautiful presence. She has a solid foundation and has shown extensively in all Ranch Versatility events and has had success (OKHSA, AQHA, OSHA, VRH). She has ponied colts and flagged colts around to help at the training facility, been started on the sled both head/heel and live cattle heel side, has been shot off of to start training for mounted shooting, trail ridden often, and recently started trotting and loping the barrel pattern. Chexi has also lightly done western dressage and some English riding. She could flourish in any or several of these disciplines. This is a special one-of-a-kind mare. What makes Chexi special? Natural talent: She possesses incredible athleticism and a natural aptitude for any of her chosen disciplines, making her a joy to train and ride. The possibilities with this girl are endless. Light on the aids: Chexi is incredibly responsive to cues and rewards a rider that is soft but confident and helps give clear instructions. This mare is very broke but likes for her rider to know where their position is as well. Eager to please: While sensitive, she has a kind and willing nature, always striving to understand and connect with her rider. Even though being a mare comes with a little attitude, she has so much more try and really is an exceptional partner for her person. Potential to go far: With her talent and athleticism, Chexi is ready to develop further in her training and could be a fantastic partner for a rider who can be patient and help take her to the next level whichever direction that might be. Ideal Home: Chexi thrives with a rider that is confident and enjoys having a really broke horse but understands that she is not a machine. While she can be an extremely consistent ride, that doesn't mean that sometimes she won't get a little tense and need her person to carry her through. She would blossom with someone with more of a "ride the horse you've got" mentality and can just roll with it in Chexi's "off" moments. Her intelligence and willingness mean she learns quickly and excels when she feels confident and secure with her rider. This mare is not unsafe by any means. She has never ran off or offered to buck; she is a high caliber mare that appreciates a high caliber rider. Further Details: Great for the farrier and vet. Has had several sets of sliders on the rear and shod all the way around once. Located in El reno, OK Serious inquiries from intermediate/experienced individuals only. PPE welcome on buyer's expense.
