Super cute AQHA 9 year old 15.0 hand red roan gelding that’s well put together with good conformation, bone and foot. Russ is a gentle and good natured gelding that’s a pleasure to ride and work with. Considering that he is a very quiet minded gelding makes him a good choice if you want a peaceful and uncomplicated horse to ride. In the ring Russ will have a good one hand neck rein, moves off of leg cues, will collect up when asked and has a good stop and backs with ease. He is a smooth traveling horse to ride with an easy to sit to jog. Lopes out on cue, takes his leads and will side pass over to open and close the gates. Russ is an outstanding trail horse and is equally solid to ride down any busy neighborhood street. On the trails Russ will be a calm and confident. He will lead or follow and will ride peacefully in and position of a group as well as out alone. He is sure footed and navigates our steep and rocky terrain like the good seasoned ranch and trail horse that he is. Crosses the river, creeks, deadfall, tarps, trail bridges, or just about anything else that we ask him to. When riding around our neighborhood Russ is rock solid about everything we have encountered. From fast passing vehicles of every kind to bicycles, motorcycles, landscaping equipment, to farm animals and the neighborhood dogs that always run up barking at us he could care less. Russ has been used on the ranch for sorting, gathering and ranch roping. This is a really easy going horse that’s sound and settled with more whoa than go. He has no bad habits or vices of any kind and is a horse many folks would really enjoy.Check out his video!
