Hudsen is the epitome of a true family horse—trusted and enjoyed by both of our nieces, ages 16 and 10. From the first ride, he makes you wish you had two (or three) of him, because he fits a wide range of riders and takes care of his person every step of the way. He is gorgeous with kind eyes, a picture-perfect head, and a flawlessly built, rich‑colored frame. He is as genuine and uncomplicated as they come. He is broke, broke, broke: steady with or without a saddle and will saddle up the same even with lengthy time off. He’s been exposed to kites, fire, busy working dogs, heavy traffic, blowing tarps, ATVs, farm equipment, loud noises, big machinery, and even a buffalo or two, and he stays composed. A son of the $2.5‑million sire Light N Lena, Hudsen is a natural cow horse—smart, correct, and expressive the moment you show him a cow. He is exceptionally easy to ride with a nice neck rein, a gliding trot, a cadenced lope, smooth turnarounds, pretty circles, and a straight, loose backup. With his self‑carriage and polish, he has the talent to excel in Ranch Versatility, Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, Ranch Reining, and Ranch Halter Conformation. A foreman’s best friend, he’s pretty hand, opening and closing gates, sorting, doctoring, and branding. From Montana to Arizona, he is smooth and sure‑footed in rough country, crosses water, logs, and bridges with confidence, rides quietly alongside bikes and tolerates dogs underfoot. In the roping arena, Hudsen is proving himself as an exceptional head and heel gelding—loaded with cow, able to shift gears, get you to one quick, then collect himself and drag his tail in the dirt; strong from the horn with plenty of pull, and easy to stay in position on. Around the barn he loves attention, hauls great, and gets along tied, turned out, or in a stall with other horses. He is sound and has cleared our sales high veterinary standards with radiographs and current on dental, worming and farrier care. Please feel free to give us a call if you have any questions and would like to schedule a time to ride him here at our ranch. Hudsen is one we’re proud to offer. He Sells JULY 31st - August 1st, 2026, at our 10th Annual League of Legends Invitational Horse Sale, a milestone celebration only in East Helena Montana
