Really don’t want to do this, i love her so much but she deserves a feature job she’d love! I’m in no rush but putting feelers out there for the perfect home for Ruby -2-Year-Old Grade Chestnut Mare Looking for your next project or lifelong partner? This gorgeous 2-year-old chestnut mare is as sweet as they come! She’s got that in-your-pocket personality – always happy to see you and meets you at the gate ready to work. Details: • Age: 2 years old • Color: Chestnut • Temperament: Super sweet, playful, friendly, get along with other horses, more woah then go so far under saddle, not mare-ish • Training: Getting better by the day! • About 10+ rides under saddle (will continue to be ridden and worked with) – quiet, willing, and on the right track, she’s been a super easy one to break, not much bothers her • Walks & trots in the round pen or arena off the lunge line with encouragement , with halter or bridle •Has walked & trotted in an arena and has walked around the ranch and could care less, will most likely go on trail soon! • Walk, trot, and lope with a rider as long as there’s someone lunging her (off or on the line) • Working on the bridle, never has offered to buck or rear, hasn’t tried to kick or bite either while i’ve had her • Ground Manners: Ties, leads, fly spray, picks up feet, pretty good with the ferrier, good for saddling, not too pushy and listens to correction • Desensitization: Has been exposed to a variety of things and handles them well, has been ponied on trail and did great, lots of tarp and flag exposure She’s the perfect age to continue her training your way and has a great foundation started. She’s never had a bad experience. Great for a savy handy teen wanting a project as along as they know what there doing, but not for a beginner without a trainer just because she’s only had a few rides. Whether you’re looking for a future trail partner, show prospect, i think she’d excel in ranch riding or western/english pleasure, or just a fun horse to bring along, she’s got the mind and personality to go far. If i still have her buy september she will be going into full time training and will not be for sale until after! Selling to absolutely no fault of her own and I love her so much but I need a barrel horse and she deserves a job she’d love (she’s never worked barrles I just don’t think it’s right for her). Not selling to a finish and sell, she wants a long-term home and deserves to be someone’s number one! Currently on orchard and alfalfa blend.
