Tanzanite ISF is a stunning 16.1H 2022 KFPS Friesian mare sired by Ulbert 390, Sport, and out of Zabrina ISF, Star, by Tjalbert 460. Tanzanite was started under saddle in our professional program last Spring and is already showing herself to be a quick learner with a lot of promise as a future performance horse. She is nicely sensitive to the aids, naturally uphill in her movement with a beautiful front end and gives a nice feeling to her rider. Her work ethic is a highlight, she can be ridden both indoors and out, and she is already hacking around the farm on her own. Tanzanite is good to work around in the barn and would be a lot of fun for a competent Amateur or Professional to bring up the levels of dressage. Sire Ulbert 390, Sport is an ideal representative of the Friesian breed with a successful career as both a performance horse and as a sire of acclaimed offspring. Following importation to North America, Ulbert claimed numerous wins in dressage, including Third Level Reserve Champion at the 2007 CBLM Championships. He went on to become an accomplished FEI horse and was confirmed through Intermediate I. Ulbert offspring have found great success in both dressage and under harness. He has sired an approved stallion and numerous Model and Crown mares.

The dam Zabrina ISF was designated Star at her FHANA keuring and also showed very successfully at Dressage at Devon, winning the Friesian IBC Class with a top score of 78.8% in 2018. Zabrina is a pleasure to work around in the barn and was nice to ride before she joined our broodmare band. Her sire Tjalbert 460 is noted for his strong conformation, excellent gaits, and a highly trainable work ethic. Zabrina is out of the Model mare Nynke Ris, by Brend 413, Sport. In addition to multiple in hand placings at Dressage at Devon, Nynke was a favorite of ours under saddle with her good movement and Amateur-friendly disposition.
