Durango is a stunning 5-year-old registered Friesian cross gelding standing an impressive 17 hands tall. What makes him even more special is that he was born and raised right here on our farm. It has been an incredible journey watching him grow from a baby into the exceptional horse he is today. Opportunities like this donโt come around oftenโa horse weโve personally developed from the very beginning and know inside and out.
Durango rides beautifully both English and Western and has extensive experience both in the arena and on the trails. If youโre looking for a dressage prospect or partner, this guy truly shines. His correct movement, natural balance, and smooth, flowing gaits are hard to find in a horse of his size.
Personally, I have never owned a horse that I have enjoyed dressage schooling as much as Durango. He has the perfect amount of sensitivity, responds beautifully to leg pressure, and genuinely enjoys learning and performing advanced maneuvers. Some of his favorite things include side passing, walk-to-canter transitions, and showing off his athletic ability. He always gives his best and has a willing attitude that makes every ride enjoyable.

Durango is extremely well desensitized and takes new experiences in stride. He is comfortable with tarps, large balls, whip cracking, and even gunfire. He confidently crosses obstacles, handles traffic without concern, and hauls quietly wherever you take him. Weโve ridden him in multiple arenas and locations, and he remains the same confident, dependable horse every time.
He is also easy to manage around the farm, loads and unloads with ease, gets along well when turned out with other horses, and has the kind of personality that makes him a pleasure to own.
