This beautiful boy, Salem, is a rare find — a 6-year-old, 16-16.1 hand Friesian Sport Horse gelding with the beauty, brains, and talent to go far. Originally from Kentucky, Salem arrived at Kellenbrook Farms in March and has already proven himself to be a quick learner with an incredible work ethic. He has a versatile foundation in trail riding, cart work, liberty, and western riding, and since starting his dressage career this spring, he has advanced rapidly. Salem has been in full time training with Grand Prix trainer- Kelly Burris and riden 5 days a week by NAYC medalist- Olivia Martz. He is now confident at First Level with impressive highlights: • Green flying changes • Trot half pass • Walk pirouettes • Simple changes What makes Salem stand out is not only his ability, but his magnetic personality. Playful, kind, and a true barn favorite, he bonds easily with people — kids adore him, and he makes you smile every time he walks into to barn. Salem has all the ingredients for a bright competitive future. With his talent, athleticism, and eagerness to learn, he shows clear FEI potential in the right program. Horses with this combination of quality, trainability, and temperament are hard to find. Before his dedicated training in dressage, Salem was ridden hundreds of miles on trails in the Kentucky countryside by kids and adults- he was perfect for anyone, even at a young age. He spent last winter getting a foundation in western work, break away roping, lots of cow sorting classes, just all around fun and desensitization- he LOVES cows! He would be amazing on a big ranch, 4-H, spending hours on trails or working up the levels in dressage. He hauls great, loves water and bath time, stands for lots of braiding because he has SO MUCH hair! He is the dream boat of the barn. He truly is the most versatile and SMART best friend you could have. Only selling because owner doesn't have the time she hoped she could dedicate to this amazing boy and family health issues force sale. This special gelding would be a perfect partner for an experienced youth or adult amateur looking to bring along a horse with the talent to shine! 📍 Located in Gig Harbor📞 Contact: Olivia Martz, Trainer – (253) 325-1404 to schedule a meeting or learn more.
