Has been used for a 10 year old girl for the past year and a half. He is willing to do ANYTHING you ask. We’ve done queening, 4-h, gather cows, English jumping and equitation and even swung a rope off him and caught little tiny calves. He’s amazing and I don’t want to sell him, but my kid just wants to do rodeo now. He’s taken her to state fair two years in a row and was equitation champion her first year. He has no maintenance. He gets along great with other horses. His only quirks are he is randomly buddy sour, and he doesn’t love his head overly touched, sometimes he shakes his head, but it’s just annoying, nothing harmful. He is nothing fancy, but he did great at everything we needed him for. I would say his strongest areas would be trail and halter showmanship. He crosses water and bridges and streams and logs, literally anywhere you point him. His weakest would be tracking a cow and turns, he just doesn’t turn on his hind end quickly at all. He will do it slowly, but he is front end heavy. I wouldn’t put a brand new beginner on him because I feel like he might try to get away with stuff but a more experienced kid could probably be just fine. Or an adult who knows when he is trying to push boundaries. He would be an AMAZING trail horse for someone who just wants to trail ride and I think that’s his happy place. He is great for the shoer, and UTD on everything. We have a place to ride and tons of videos we can share. Text me if interested.
