Tootsie is looking for a perfect home! She is a 5-year-old Warm Springs mustang mare. She was pulled from the wild in June 2024. Located in Silverton, OR

She lunges walk/trot/canter, rides walk/trot, and rides best in a halter (she is getting better with a snaffle). She picks up all four feet, stands for trims, trailer loads, travels well, fly sprays, bathes, wears a fly mask, stands to be tacked up, and picks you up at the mounting block or wherever you ask her to. She likes people, comes to greet you, enjoys getting off property for rides, rides the same on and off property, is very sensitive, learns fast, and remembers. She moves off of very light leg and seat cues. Has a lead mare type of personality. Super easy keeper, maintains a healthy weight on pasture/local grass hay and 1/2 lb of alfalfa pellets a day. Barefoot with good hard feet She can go any direction and stands at 13.1-13.2 hands.
When she gets nervous/tense, she stops. So she is very safe. Has never offered to buck or rear.
She needs work at the canter undersaddle. She is very sensitive (needs a balanced rider with a good seat). She’s only 13.1-13.2 hands, can only carry a rider of about 180lbs or less.
She is a very cool/fun horse, not spooky.
She currently is not suited for beginners, but definitely could be a wonderful kids horse in the near future. She is green and needs more miles undersaddle with a confident and gentle rider. Overall, she is an amazing little unicorn and will do just about anything you ask of her. She can be finished any direction. She would make a super cute cart pony, trail mount, cow horse, the skies the limit!
