Wow, wow, wow—what a gentleman Cherokee is! This 4-year-old gelding is one cool dude. He’s solid, safe, and has a great mind on his shoulders with a big heart to match. Cherokee stands 15.3 hands tall and weighs 1,330 lbs—he’s built like a tank, but soft as they come.
This guy is sweet and gentle on the ground, easy to catch, and gets along great with other horses in the pasture. He’s been around all the usual farm chaos—dogs, kids running everywhere, equipment noise—and he takes it all in stride without missing a beat.
Cherokee is truly a babysitter, whether on the ground or under saddle. We’ve had riders of all levels on him, and he’s the one we trust for anyone. He’s got a smooth walk, trot, and canter, picks up both leads, and rides English, Western, and even bridleless.
He’s seen lots of trail miles, been on rides with 60+ horses, wagon trains, and overnight camping trips. He’s stood at the high line, crossed ditches, logs, and any obstacle you point him to. Traffic, semis, loud farm equipment—none of it fazes him.
And yes—Cherokee drives too! He’s been in Amish buggies, covered wagons, and more. He’s truly so cool and has been a joy to have with us these past 5 months.
He’s good to clip, load, bathe, and haul. 100% sound, no vices, and just one of those horses that’ll take care of you all day, every day. Cherokee is the total package—from trail rides with your friends to pony rides with the grandkids, or a relaxing Sunday drive with the family.
