This mare truly hurts my heart to consider letting go, because she is such a special mare and such a special cross that I have been working on for most of my career. She is by our own son of Colonels Smoking Gun, Smoking Sixcess and out of one of our home bred and raised daughters of our late stallion, Reeds Poco Vandyke (see photo).

Aurora's mom, Nova has been a fantastic producer for us and is the ONLY champagne daughter of Reeds Poco Vandyke aka Neal! Aurora is also one of the only champagne foals by "Gunner!" Here is a pretty amazing way to get the rare champagne gene with a pedigree to back it up, the added and ever so popular splash white gene, AND she is HOMOZYGOUS FOR THE DUN GENE so ALL OF HER FOALS, no matter what stallion you use, will always carry the dun dilution! She cannot produce sorrel or bay foals (to put it simply). She will also pass her champagne gene and splash white gene at least half of the time, and if you look at her 2025 foal, (her first foal), she gave him EVERYTHING!
