Meet Zarah. I bred her myself 4 1/2 years ago and couldn't be more proud of the lovely horse she has become. I started her under saddle last year as a 2 1/2 year old and she had a handful of rides on her. She spent most of those rides on the trail where she had no problems following and even leading the herd some of the time. After those two weeks, I gave her a year off to grow and mature. She handled being saddled and mounted this summer with no issues. Zarah is a confident and trusting horse with a calm friesian temperament. She will leave her food to beg for attention and will do anything for belly scratches. Zarah loves to be groomed and bathed and handles new situations with sensibility. All that being said, she is still green, but a clean slate for someone who wanted to put her in the show ring (she has lovely movement) or just have a fantastic trail partner. I have developed bone spurs in my lower back and so the riding I have done on her this year is walking only. My riding days are winding down and I know this girl wants to do more than decorate our paddock. She wants a person to love and a job to do.
