Drew, ‘Drawn to You’, is a 3 year old Westphalian mare. She stands 15.2 hh and is expected to mature up to 16.1 – I am 5’ 8” and she takes up leg quite nicely. Drew is registered under Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeder’s Association, she comes from a strong lineage of dressage horses, her sire being Dresden (grandsire of Dresden Mann x Rotspon) and damsire Free Reign (grand damsire of Florino x Florestan 1). I have owned Drew since an 8 month old; she was given the first two years to learn the life of being a horse and once turning three, we started her with a trainer who underwent the foundational aspects of groundwork. Drew caught on very quickly and is now at a point in her training where she goes walk, trot, and canter (although still new to the canter and learning to push from behind and to use that momentum forward) under saddle. She is an exceptional horse who was started right. She has a great mind on her, she is very friendly and polite, yet also curious. She is consistent in her gaits which her uphill build contributes to. She can live in or out and is currently on first cut with a Buckeye ration balancer, and she is also barefoot – with strong and well structured feet. This horse has great potential for dressage/hunter and is looking for somebody who can show her the rest of the way. Her laid back demeanor will make her a great show horse. Although she is still young and green, an experience rider – or an intermediate rider working with a coach – is who she is best suited to. She is not dirty (I have never been tossed nor have witnessed anyone who has, I trust her with my young nieces to take for a little walk around the arena in which she handles extremely well). She definitely tries her very best, she has no physical or known of internal injuries (splints, chips etc. ), she needs someone who can gently and patiently guide her in the right direction. It is my heart’s desire for her to have someone who is looking for their long term partner. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcua6yn4u5Q
