If you are looking for the all-around riding horse, Vanoona de Latte is waiting for you. “Latte” is a beautiful red roan 6-year-old, 14.3H Colonial Spanish Barb mare. She is elegant yet powerful with long ground covering strides, Latte carries herself with a natural presence. She is well-started in Natural Horsemanship foundation skills and has a solid beginning in Liberty Work, showing a willingness to learn. With six months of professional saddle training, Latte has gained valuable experience in the arena and on the trail. She has been ridden on State Park multi use trails in groups and solo. She has also participated in several Western Dressage Training Shows where she handled herself very well. For a smaller mare, Latte has a big suspended trot and an easy canter. She has been schooled over cross rails and is willing and forward. She does bridges, gates and moves off your leg for lateral work. Easy to be around on the ground hauls, ties and stands well for the trimmer. She is ready to advance in any discipline. More than just a beautiful mare, Latte is part of the rare and endangered Baca Barb bloodline, descendants of the horses brought to the Americas by Spanish explorers. Her lineage traces back to North Africa (Algeria), and her genetic profile—along with the rest of the Baca Barb herd—is carefully preserved by Texas A&M University. When you ride a Baca Barb, you’re not just riding a horse—you’re riding living American history. Latte was proudly bred, raised, and trained at Blue Oaks Center, where heritage and horsemanship come together. Latte is currently in training with Jerily McCormick.
