Duke – 12 yr old Grade QH Gelding (Vet Verified)

If you’re looking for a solid, reliable partner who loves having a job, Duke could be your guy!
He’s sorted cows, loves to trail ride, and rides out great around traffic, dogs, and equipment. Duke will work both inside or outside of the arena, and he’s taken everything we’ve thrown at him in stride. We’ve sorted off of him, and while he’s novice, he handled it really well. He’s also packed a flag (just not at a rodeo yet). Duke has speed and may do well in higher-pressure situations, though we haven’t put him to the test yet.
Loads and trailers like a dream, great for the farrier, and has excellent ground manners. W/T/C, picks up correct leads, and has a strong work ethic. I’ve also ridden him bareback with a halter around the property a few times.
Duke does best with consistency and regular work. He’s level-headed and steady when kept in a routine and truly enjoys having a job to do.

• Has pulled back in the past (never with me)
• Can get quirky if stalled and left off work too long (he’s fine in pasture)
• Not a beginner or kid horse
