Awesome ISF, Star is a 16.1H 2016 KFPS Friesian mare sired by Ulbert 390, Sport, and out of Winsome ISF, Star, by Winand 405. A proven broodmare, she is the dam of Ulrich ISF who won the Current Year Colts class and was named Foal Champion at Dressage at Devon in 2024 with scores to +83%. Awesome is offered in foal to Cum Laude for a full sibling to Ulrich due in March 2026, last breeding date 4/19/2025. The foal is eligible for Register B papers with KWPN-NA or can also be registered with the Friesian Sporthorse Association. Awesome herself was named 2nd Premie Star at her 2019 FHANA keuring and placed 2nd in the Four-Year-Old and Older Broodmare Class at Dressage at Devon in 2024. While she has been out of work to focus on breeding duties the past couple of years, Awesome was professionally started under saddle in our program as a young horse. This mare is an easy keeper, a wonderful mother, and is good to work around in the barn. Located and available to be seen in Coatesville, PA, radiographs available.
Sire Ulbert 390, Sport is an ideal representative of the Friesian breed with a successful career as both a performance horse and as a sire of acclaimed offspring. Following importation to North America, Ulbert claimed numerous wins in dressage, including Third Level Reserve Champion at the 2007 CBLM Championships. He went on to become an accomplished FEI horse and was confirmed through Intermediate I. Ulbert offspring have found great success in both dressage and under harness. He has sired an approved stallion and numerous Model and Crown mares.
Dam Winsome ISF was a daughter of our foundation Model/Preferent mare Toltsje fan’t Boekehof, by Anton 343, Sport/Preferent. Named 1st Premium as a foal, Winsome was subsequently awarded the Star predicate and the distinction of Reserve Champion Mare at her FHANA Keuring in 2013. Winsome was a super broodmare for the ISF program, also producing the IBOP champion and Third Level successful gelding Zango ISF.
