Auri is a 6 yr old, 18.2h grade docked Percheron gelding. He is microchipped and up to date on feet, deworming, teeth, and shots. Stands fine for the farrier (has also been trimmed in stocks if that’s your style) and is currently barefoot. Crossties, will stand tied for days, been exposed to clippers and all the things. He can live out or in but prefers at least a run or daily turnout due to his massive size! In the herd is mid-pack, sometimes a loner but won’t allow himself to be bullied. Playful. He is the sweetest gentleman on the ground. Backs, pivots, side passes in a halter. Pretty unflappable, but definitely not a deadhead. He is forward and has a fabulous motor, would work all day. Walk-trot-canter-halt on the lunge line with vocal cues, excellent halt. If it’s been a while since he’s been worked and you aren’t in a round pen, he will sometimes squeak and then try to run away. But usually it’s just a one and done thing. Not an issue with regular work or pasture turnout. He’s just young and needs a job. Will work all day. Has had ~50 rides on him, although it has been a while. Would do best with a 30 day reminder that he is indeed a working man. He does get nervous when a new person get on, but also not an issue with consistent work. Has walk-trot-canter-halt under saddle with voice cues. I would consider him extremely green under saddle, and he could be restarted any which way if that’s your preference. Extremely smart. He also has extensive driving experience with single, double, and team hitch. Will get into any any trailer.
