2011 AQHA gelding ~14-14.2hh On consignment This little guy right here would make someone an awesome trail mount. He goes through and over anything I point him at. He walks out well, will go with or without a group, is not buddy sour, crosses water, ducks under trees, cactus and rocks don't bother him, and great around dogs running around. We've run into other horses and seen cows out on trails and he handles it all great! He is great on the ground, polite and doesn't walk all over you, will stand tied, picks up all 4 feet well, stands for the farrier, and is a friendly horse that wants to be with you but not so in your pocket you're trying to keep him off you. He is NOT a beginner horse. His current owners were told he was beginner safe and they are now looking to sell for something safer they can learn on. He goes amazing with a confident intermediate or experienced rider with a light hand. He gets easily frustrated when he doesn't understand a cue and can become very agitated when unsure of what is being asked of him, and needs someone who is able to work through that with him. He calms back down fairly quick and then goes on with his ride without concern. He's more go than whoa, likes to walk out and go his own pace and will ride on a loose rein. He will neck rein and move off of leg pressure but is still learning to respond to it consistently or when stressed. He was recently vet checked as his current owners have only had him about 2/3 months and everything checked out, he is sound, UTD on vaccines, teeth, and shoes. Additional vet checks are welcome at buyers expense He does have a history of cribbing and has ground all of his top incisors down to his gums. It does not affect him otherwise, vet checked everything else looked good and he is able to eat without an issue. He is currently on alfalfa but has been on bermuda and a mix of the 2 over the past several months and has been great on all of it. I have seen him try to crib very very minimally while he has been with me the past few weeks, so a home that will keep him busy or where he has companions and not stalled may be best for him. Located in Fort McDowell with access to trails off the property to test ride him on Current owners are hoping to make back what they paid for him. Come look at him, take him for a ride and make an offer!
