Meet Act of Valor HOF “Valor” 15.2hh 2017 Registered Haflinger Gelding Valor is truly the biggest puppy dog you’ve ever seen. He would love to live in your house, sleep in your bed, and go with you everywhere. He is game for anything! Sired by the late Accolade of Genesis, silver-rated stallion (80 pts) scoring 9s on type, head and neck and 8 on overall moment and the last foal out of prolific dam Febe Zee NTF, who produced multiple silver-rated foals and gold-rated mare (83 pts), Faith By Fire DAF (3/4 sibling to Valor). Originally purchased as an upper-level dressage prospect for his owner - the last two years Valor has been dipping his toes into Eventing while his owner has been busy with work. He is always in top placing after Dressage, usually scoring in the high 20s or low 30s (even with mistakes). While he loves to jump, he can get distracted by the environment at the first 2-3 fences on Cross Country and may stop. Height is never an issue and with the right partner we feel he will continue to work through this and easily see him becoming an upper-level mount. He placed in his last two events in the Open Beginner Novice – 4th at Sundance and 5th at Windermere Run. Last shown in USDF in 2023 – Valor made his debut at First Level Test 3 scoring a respectable 64.5% with his amateur owner. He was 2023 All Breeds Haflinger of the Year for Open and Adult Amateur at Training Level. Valor is ready to show Second Level and if not sold he will return to the USDF ring in 2026 to confirm. He has easy, comfortable gaits that anyone can appreciate. He loves to trail ride and could be a fun fox hunt mount. As a 2- and 3-year-old he was shown in driving and was said to be easy enough for a beginner, but would need a tune up since he hasn’t been hitched since then.
