This is Mr. MAVERICK he is a 9-Year-Old Quarter Horse Cross Gelding (unsure what he is crossed with I just know he is extremely smooth when he trots or lopes) Maverick is a friendly dog like, in your pocket, 9-year-old gelding standing 14–14.1 hands. He’s short, stocky, and the perfect size—stands to mount, stands to saddle, catches you LITERALLY, if you go out to catch another horse you better catch him first because he will just keep cutting you off to get the attention and makes it hard to get someone else from him wanting the love and attention! lol he is incredibly comfortable to ride, and has a nice short stocky conformation. He loads himself in any trailer, been to play-day events, sorted and tracked cows, dragged and doctored calves, been on miles and miles of trails, rides double, with saddle bags, crosses anything without hesitation, been in numerous parades, carries flags, etc. He has a kind heart and an easy-going personality. Maverick rides alone or with others, never buddy-sour, and will go anywhere you point him, through town, across bridges, over logs, up and down hills, and through water. He is super easy to trim or shoe and doesn’t require shoes as he’s very tough and sure footed, Maverick has been with me 2.5-3 years due to initially getting him in on consignment and a ranch hand falling in love with him and Maverick being so great at rising alone or with new horses we purchased him as our lead ranch horse that took out new comers on trails, beside the highway, etc to ensure their confidence in the new places they may not have been fomfrroable or confident riding in and incase we needed him to pony one we could hook them up to Mav and he will drag them anywhere he’s asked, he’s so confident any new horse just follows his lead. Things have really changed in my life in the last year and I am going through a divorce and I won’t be selling horses like I have for so many years and have opened a new business and all of my time is dedicated to establishing this company for me and my children and I need the horses new forever homes. As I don’t have any help anymore with them either and with winter coming on I really need the last few horses I have to get to their new homes. Maverick is a true sweetheart and deserves someone who will love him and appreciate his personality and dog like demeanor, he’s so fun, he loves baths, any attention from people and kids, and has been an asset and joy for us here while we have had him. ✅ Soft & Smooth Trot and Lope ✅ Loves attention ✅ Easy keeper ✅ Loads & ties quietly ✅ Bathes & stands to mount ✅ Hard, solid black hooves ✅ Confident trail horse He’s been trail-ridden for miles, worked around cattle, opens gates, and rides in a mild Tom Thumb, snaffle, or halter. He can sit for weeks or months and still ride off like he never missed a day—steady, gentle, and honest.
