Cole is a 13-year-old AQHA gelding standing 15.2 hands. While he isn’t registered, both of his parents were, and he certainly carries the look and disposition of a well-bred quarter horse. He belongs to close friends of ours who purchased him for an inexperienced rider. While Cole was never unsafe, they realized he’s better suited for someone who enjoys a little more “go” than “whoa.” Cole has a solid, well-rounded background — he’s worked cattle on a ranch, spent plenty of time in the arena, and been out on countless trail rides. He’s forward, responsive, and consistent under saddle, with no rear, or bolt. My husband says he has one of the smoothest lopes he’s ever ridden. When warming up he is exuberant and expressive, but quickly gets his mind back on the job. Cole is confident on the trail, enjoys having a job, and would make a great partner for someone looking for a fun, reliable gelding to enjoy both in and out of the arena. He has a sweet puppy dog personality, loves being doted on and is always eager to see his people. It’s been awhile since he has had his own person, and he would excel with an owner who wants to interact with their horse. Cole also gets along great in a herd and has been kept with mares and geldings with no issues, he would fall about middle of the herd hierarchy. He would excel with an intermediate rider, or a beginner if taking lessons regularly. He’s barefoot, stands perfectly for the farrier, and is currently supplemented for low vitamin E (which he may not need if kept on green pasture). https://youtu.be/UjPC_nrMKY4?si=8ldwDSSZJkX1LPGb
