Peppy’s Charlie” is a 3-year-old registered AQHA gelding standing right at 14hh-14.1. ( a little butt high so I think he’ll grow some more) He’s been brought along correctly with all the right basics — well-started under saddle, solid groundwork, ponied everywhere, and confidently handles new environments. Cruize ties (cross, straight, and ground), loads perfectly, and stands like a gentleman for everything — the farrier even loves him. He’s barefoot and sound, recently passing a flex test. He does have a cosmetic scar from a freak accident last year, but it’s strictly superficial and doesn’t affect his movement or soundness in any way and is literally disappearing by the day (photos available upon request). Cruize’s temperament is exactly what you want in a young prospect — quiet, laid-back, and unflappable, but still goofy and full of personality. Quick learner, picks things up quickly, no vices or bad habits under saddle, no buck, no rear, straight forward to ride. He’s the only one I’ll ride bareback in a halter. He has an impeccable mentality, he’s the same ride if he’s rode every day or given a month off. Exposed to cattle , roped a dummy cow off him, starting the basics of the barrel pattern but I wouldn’t consider him finished
