2017 dark bay mare, standing 16.2 with big shoulder and a lot of presence! If you like to name drop TB bloodlines she’s got a few you’ll recognize 😉
Mia is definitely not marish and is a giant goofball who is almost too friendly. Call for her in the pasture and even if it’s pitch black and she’s in the back corner, she’ll come trottin up. 🩷
She would crawl into your pocket if you let her especially if you have a peppermint. Did I mention this girl loves to jump!! She has never taken a step wrong while on course!
Mia does need a confident and competent rider. She is big and strong and once she locks into her fence, she’s going. She has never tried to refuse or run out. She becomes laser focused when jumping. Scope for days and days! Could easily see her excelling in jumpers, possibly hunters with the right rider. Mia can be quirky while getting saddled and on the flat. Very typical ottb stuff. She does not like to stand in cross ties but is much more comfortable being ground tied. I’ve worked very hard on helping her relax and learning to be patient, although patience is a virtue, and Mia would much rather get the show on the road. 😊 She is good for the farrier, wears only front shoes, up to date on all vaccines and teeth.
So why am I selling you ask? Well simply, I’m old and momentarily forgot I’m not 20 something anymore 🤦🏼♀️ I bought her about a year and half ago in hopes she would be my next 1.0-1.2 meter horse (she has the talent) but with my crappy old broken down kissing spine of a back from years and years of jumping on the circuits, I hurt after I ride. She’s a very flexible girl and occasionally a wiggle monster. I also have two other horses who require my attention and a kid in college. Mia deserves to have a young ambitious rider who can run and play just as hard as she does! If I was 20 years younger this would be my dream horse. So truly my loss, is your giant gain!!
