If you are looking for beauty and performance, meet El Legado de Savache. “Legado” is a gorgeous, elegant and graceful 6 year old Baca Barb gelding. He stands at 14.2H. Legado has a very soft way of going and is eager to learn which will have him excel in any equestrian discipline. Legado has had 6 months of professional training, been shown in some Western dressage and starting to gain some trail experience. He has a lovely walk, trot, canter and great transitions. Responsive off your leg for some basic lateral work, opening gates and side passing over poles. He has nice solid bone and great feet, currently barefoot. This guy is a great choice for someone who likes to put their personal touch on their own horse. Legado is part of the rare and endangered Baca Barb bloodline, descendants of the horses brought to the Americas by Spanish explorers. His lineage traces back to North Africa (Algeria), and his genetic profile—along with the rest of the Baca Barb herd—is carefully preserved by Texas A&M University. When you ride a Baca Barb, you’re not just riding a horse—you’re riding living American history. Legado was proudly bred, raised, and trained at Blue Oaks Center, where heritage and horsemanship come together. Legado is currently in training with Jerily McCormick.
