Dickey is an 11yo Paso Fino Mule. Not gaited. He is 14hh and approximately 800 lbs. Carries up to 160 lbs combined weight of saddle and rider. He has been trained for pack and harness but I have not used him for either in the 3 years I've owned him. Easy to catch, first one at the gate. Mid to upper level in the herd pecking order. Easy keeper, stays fat on air. Never been sick or lame. I keep him barefoot, he's got great feet. Hops right into a trailer. He's a typical mule and wary of new people until he gets to know them. Once he trusts you he will be your best friend. He also gets very attached to his herd. He's difficult to ride away alone from the farm, but if I trailer him somewhere alone he does just fine. Stands for a farrier with the right approach. He is currently on an 8 week schedule with a farrier who practices natural horsemanship. He does really well for her. He has a fast ground covering walk, smooth trot, lopes, canters, gallops. Forward moving with lots of energy. He is also very agile and sure-footed. Got him as an endurance prospect but life got busy and I'm ready to admit that I don't have the time. My loss is your gain. Looking to have one less mouth to feed this winter. Dickey has tons of potential as a competition prospect. I could see him doing endurance or western gaming. He is smart and energetic and would benefit from having a job to do. Dickey is a lot of horse in a small package. Not for beginners, not for kids. I will only let him go to an experienced rider. He is utd on preventative care, vaccines and deworming. PPE welcome at buyers expense. No test rides due to liability. I will saddle him up and demo him if you show up with a trailer. Serious inquiries only. $5000 OBO. Tack available. Delivery available.
