Fun Paint gelding with fantastic ground manners. Raton has impeccable ground manners, he grounds ties, is respectful while leading, easy to catch, and loads right up in the trailer. He has no vices in the stall either, other than he might bring his blanket into his stall if hanging within reach of him. Raton will ride out alone, in a group, or is happy to work in the arena as well. If he has been sitting around for a while, he is a little ready to go when you first step on, but is easily corrected—Raton walks, trots, and canters with ease; he is not spooky or reactive. We're still trying to figure out which bit best suits him, but he can easily be ridden in a loose ring snaffle or bitless bridle. He has been exposed to cattle and has been lightly started over jumps. He would be a great addition for a family looking for something fun to enjoy, as he enjoys all the attention.
