I’m seeking the right person to give a second chance to a very special horse. He’s approximately 7 years old, 15 hands, and came from Kentucky with a past that suggests he was mistreated. He is up to date on vaccinations, trims, and teeth floating—and he’s an easy keeper. This boy is sweet, sensitive, and wants so badly to please, but he’s deeply nervous. He shakes when approached, snorts, and watches with wide eyes. He’s not aggressive—just afraid of doing the wrong thing. I’ve tried to build trust, but after a painful accident with a hot wire, he now associates me with that trauma. It breaks my heart, but I know I’m not the person to help him heal. He spent two months with a gaited trainer who rode him and loved his smooth gait. She believes he’ll thrive with someone who practices natural horsemanship and has the patience, time, and gentle energy to help him bond and feel safe. I’m 60 and simply don’t have the bandwidth to continue this journey. I’m asking $5,000, which is far less than I’ve invested, and I’m open to reasonable offers—but only to the right home. I will not let him go to auction or to anyone who isn’t committed to kindness and understanding. If you’re interested in meeting him, please call or text me. I’d love to stay in touch, and if it doesn’t work out, I absolutely want him back. He deserves a future filled with trust, love, and gentle hands. Text or call me for a riding video if this link does not work. https://youtu.be/LU4V_PsCIbc You're welcome to talk to the trainer who had him for a couple months as well.
