Poseidon is definitely a ONCE in a lifetime horse. He can be registered with the American Heritage Mustang Association. He was wild when I brought him home as a yearling in 2015. He’s always been ‘naturally broke’. He’s always been more like a dog than a horse. I had only had a western saddle on him 6 times, never did any ground work other than lunging. The first time he EVER had any weight on him I took him out on a 1 hour trail ride. He did great! One of the more seasoned horses wasn’t listening to their rider so I ended up ponying her back on Poseidon. He’s always taken everything in stride. He has personality plus! He will take your hat, take things out of your truck and sometimes take off with it, dump over the brush box and whatever else he can get to, he will play with his rubber feed pan, he LOVES water!!! He will break the ice on the water tanks in the winter, he’ll use your sprinklers as a drinking fountain and a water pic to rinse out his teeth and mouth. He is a TOTAL LOVE!! He will constantly try and lick you even though he has 2 big mineral blocks in his turn out and paddock. He is a very easy keeper with amazing feet, I can put him in a trailer and head into the mountains after he’s been sitting for months and he just does great! He’s very laid back and has less than 200 rides on him in the last 8 years. I’ve only ridden him about 4 times this year and I’m working 6 days a week and he just sits. He would be an amazing dressage prospect as he learns fast and retains what he’s taught. He would be an excellent mount for a therapy program that needs a large horse for larger clientele.
