Plenty Hancock Dun, a time capsule on four legs. This 2011 AQHA grullo roan stallion is a foundation breeders dream. “Hog” stands 16h, weighs 1400, and wears a size two shoe. He is big, pretty, and represents all things of the original, bull dog built, quarter horse. We have raised four foal crops by “Hog” and each has been exceptional. They are cute headed, big hipped, and have an in your pocket demeanor…even better yet, they are all roans! “Hog” is homozygous roan, and carries one copy of dun. You are guaranteed roan foals no matter what you breed him to. We have retained several fillies to put back in our program. Breeding season with this stallion is a breeze. We kick him out on about 500 acres with his mares in the spring. He comes running when he sees you and brings his mares along with, always easy to catch! “Hog” accepts mares without any fuss and is incredibly kind to both them and their foals, his mares come back bred every year. This stallion has been in a family setting in our program, we throw our kids up on him while he’s out with his mares and he never misses a beat. In the off season, he stays in the same pen with our other stallions and a handful of geldings, he fits right in the middle of the pack. “Hog” is not just a breeding stallion, he is a finished saddle horse as well. He could go straight back to ranch riding if so desired. This fall he was used as a stage model for a photography content day located in our historic ghost town. “Hog” is an exceptional individual and has his own following. Wherever he goes, he will have a built in clientele that comes with. We typically sell his weanling foals anywhere from $6500-$10,000.
